Ingredients
12wholefigs
3oz.feta cheese(blue cheese or gorgonzola work well too)
2tbsp.olive oil
1tsp.fresh thyme leaves
1tbsp. balsamic glaze
1/2tsp.sea salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to broil.
Clean figs and place flat side down on a cutting board. Make a cross with a knife in the top (pointy) end of the fig and using your fingers, pull the four parts gently apart.
Place the prepared figs in a baking dish, cut side up. Stuff the opening in each fig with a few crumbles or feta cheese.
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the top, sprinkle thyme leaves over each fig and season with salt.
Broil until cheese just begins to brown and figs are heated through.
